Insurance Ins and Outs For Farm Businesses
Learn about insurance for your farm and business from the comfort of your chair at home on Thursday, Sept. 9, 7 p.m. by tuning in to a Webinar.
Do you need worker’s comp for your farm apprentice? Can you insure land you are leasing from liable for injuries caused by your farming activities? Is insurance too expensive for your small operation? Can you be insured if you sell raw milk or poultry slaughtered on your farm?
Kevin Bourdon from Co-op Insurance Companies, one of the primary insurers of farms in Vermont, will talk about how to master the maze of insurance options for farm business owners. Bourdon grew up on a dairy farm in Middlebury, Vermont, and now owns and operates a farm with his family in Waltham, Vermont. In early 1984, Kevin joined Co-op Insurance Companies. As business development specialist there, he specializes in farm insurance products and training insurance agents to work with new farm businesses.
Topics include a review of the types of insurance available, important things to include on your insurance policy, and how insurance can protect you, your assets and your community. A discussion of worker’s comp regulations and insurance options will be covered.
There will be plenty of time for questions also.
