Walk To See Native Wildflowers, Plants, Trolley Line

Walking is just about the best exercise there is – with mental, physical, emotional benefits and no special equipment necessary. (Although good shoes and ankle support do help.)

Field trips are a long-standing tradition of the Connecticut Botanical Society. Learn about plants and habitats from botanists or share your own knowledge with others.

For the field trips, wear sturdy footwear and bring a lunch. Sunscreen and insect repellant are also recommended. For plant identification, bring along field guide(s), a hand lens, and a small notebook. Familiarity with plant taxonomy is helpful, but not required. Non-members are welcome. No registration is required, unless otherwise stated in the trip description.
